Aria ("we", "us") is an AI-powered English speaking tutor. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

Your voice

Speech is transcribed using Apple's speech recognition — on your device when supported, otherwise by Apple's servers. When the server option is used, your audio is sent to Apple for transcription; it is never sent to us. We do not record or store your audio — only the resulting text is sent to our servers to generate tutor replies and feedback.

How we use it

To provide the tutoring service, personalize lessons, track your progress, manage your subscription, and improve the app. The text of your turns is processed through third-party AI providers solely to generate replies and feedback.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run the app: Apple (speech recognition & subscriptions), Supabase (database & authentication), OpenRouter (AI model routing), RevenueCat (subscriptions), and — if enabled — PostHog (analytics) and OneSignal (push notifications). We do not sell your data or use it for cross-app advertising.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and its associated data, email us at [email protected] and we will remove it.

Children

Aria isn't directed to children under 13. If you're under the age of majority where you live, use Aria only with a parent or guardian's consent.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
